What To Expect

Expect to be welcomed!

We love seeing new faces and look forward to meeting you.  Open our doors and you will find a family of believers who are trying our best to live out Scripture.  We love God with all our hearts, souls, minds, strength, and love each other and our community.  (Matt 22:36-40).  We are a family of all ages, from all backgrounds, dressed casual to professional and everything in between, who love being together to worship and fellowship.

When you worship with us more than once, you will notice different men leading worship and preaching each week.  We are a member and deacon led church shepherded by elders, with a team of ministers helping augment the work of the family.  Rather than any full time staff, you will find members using their unique gifts to serve the body as a whole, and participating together in worship (1 Corinthians 12).

You will experience the following acts of worship with us:

  • Prayer: We believe in the power of prayer, and the incredible privilege it is to speak directly to God our Father who listens and wants to hear from us. (1 John 5:14-15; James 5:16)
  • Reading from Scripture: We love and strive to know the perfect Word of God, and always use Scripture as the only light to our path.  (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:15-16, 105)
  • Singing: We participate together in congregational acapella singing in praise and honor to God.  (Colossians 3:16)
  • Communion: Each Sunday we join together in taking the Lord’s Supper, remembering God’s gift to us in sending His Son Jesus Christ, to become a man, to live a sinless life, to become our sacrifice upon a cross, offering us access through baptism to the cleansing power of His blood, and proclaiming His death and His resurrection until He comes again.  (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)  Individual cups with bread and juice are provided for everyone who is participating.
  • Giving: You will never be pressured to make a contribution.  But as members of God’s family, we are called to give back.  We believe this is an act of worship from the blessings He has given us. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Following our time of worship, we have a time of fellowship and encouraging one another.  Please introduce yourself – we want to meet you and get to know you!

After our fellowship time, we encourage you to stay and join us in one of our Bible classes which are available for all ages.  There is also a nursery available during worship and class time.

Sunday nights offer Life Groups and Youth activities.  Wednesday evenings are a time of mid-week encouragement and Bible study for all ages.  We also have morning and ZOOM Bible studies throughout the week.

What you will not find is a perfect church or perfect people.  We acknowledge that we are all sinners, and it is only through God’s grace, mercy and the blood of Jesus that we are cleansed and made holy.  We are guided in our spiritual journey by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Our prayer for you is from Ephesians 3:14-19:

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family, in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

We hope you choose to join us!
